Job Description:
Role Overview
Strategic Sourcing Analyst will write and distribute Request for Proposals/Quotations (RFP/Q) to obtain bids on specific goods and services for the organization’s requirements. Strategic Sourcing Analyst will spend significant time gathering requirements, analyzing bids, negotiating agreements and managing annual contract renewals. Strategic Sourcing Analyst must have procurement experience and possess knowledge of strategic sourcing disciplines, contract development and supplier relationship management. Strategic Sourcing Analyst works independently, understands and executes procurement systems accurately and timely, communicates with all levels effectively, and builds strong business relationships that foster early procurement access and involvement.
Responsibilities
+ Serves as liaison between Procurement and a variety of business units
+ Works with internal customers to turn business requirements into bid proposals
+ Conducts industry research on best-in-class suppliers for their sourcing responsibility
+ Meets regularly with internal clients to understand their future purchasing plans and needs
+ Participates in forecasting activities and generate reports and updates
+ Creates RFP/RFQ… evaluate summarize and review results from supplier responses with internal clients and participate in the supplier selection process
+ Negotiates and redline supplier contracts for price, terms, conditions, etc. (within established limits of authority)
+ Places purchase orders with suppliers and ensure the timely delivery of those goods and services
+ Communicates procurement activities and results throughout the process to business owners
+ Maintains specific supplier relationships and ensuring contract performance
+ Maintains a system of records relative to contracts, purchase orders and approvals
+ Manages a list of contract renewals to ensure timely execution
+ This role is responsible for ensuring that all commodities are sourced from appropriate approved suppliers, maintaining high levels of quality the company requires whilst always ensuring that you minimise costing to the business, work closely with Global Procurement and apply their practice and apply standard payment terms as per Global Procurement Policy
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree with 4 to 6 years procurement experience or related
+ Strong verbal and written English
+ The incumbent will have demonstrable experience within a Purchasing environment and a proven track record in contract management, purchasing best practices and cost reduction. Exemplary negotiation and communication skills are required
+ The incumbent should have knowledge of Global Procurement or should worked with Global Procurement team earlier
+ Technical Knowledge & Skills: PeopleSoft, Excel, Microsoft Word and Email
+ Understanding contracts and legal implications
