Aligned to our Platform efforts, we are also transforming our Operational capabilities to provide a modern OPS/SRE approach to ensure long term client satisfaction and product availability.  We are looking for an experienced Senior SRE Engineer to help with this transformation. YOU'RE GOOD AT You leverage your deep technical knowledge and experience with modern cloud capabilities to provide Site Reliability Engineering capabilities, and are passionate about automation, security and scalability. You should also have a relentless focus on delivering superior capabilities, making / keeping your stakeholders happy.
 
  • Utilizing your experience and expertise help define our SRE operating model
  • Working with global distributed SRE, DevOps, Platform and Product teams to ensure SLA driven availability and performance of BCG Omnia’s SaaS products
  • Supporting application cloud infrastructure (hosted on AWS and Azure)
  • Ensuring services are optimized for performance and reliability
  • Taking care of scalability and reliability of infrastructure
  • Leveraging automation technologies to minimize manual application and infrastructure changes
  • Ensure high availability of critical functions
  • Support development and implementation teams with technical expertise
  • Work with SRE team to provide hands-on troubleshooting, problem analysis and resolution
  • YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • Proven track record in a Site Reliability Engineering position
  • SLA and SLO-driven approach deploying and maintain applications and infrastructure
  • Performance tuning (application and infrastructure)
  • Extensive hands on experience with modern cloud (Containerization, Function as a Service) capabilities on the leading cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Scripting skills to build automated deployments and operational processes
  • Experience with both Linux and Windows-based OSes
  • High proficiency with Application Performance Management (APM) and Enterprise Monitoring tools such as DataDog and AppDynamics, and designing resilient, performant infrastructure environments
  • Cloud security experience, including access management, network monitoring and vulnerability management approaches
  • Experience in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
  • Application Development background a plus (JAVA, .Net, etc.)
  • Passion for providing world-class service levels to our clients and internal stakeholders (some of them very senior)
  • Experience and proven success in working with fast moving, globally distributed tech teams and going above and beyond (including flexing your working hours) to make things happen
  • Bachelors/Master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related field
  • YOU'LL WORK WITH You will work closely with the SRE, DevOps, Platform teams, in addition to the broader Product Engineering teams. These teams are globally dispersed from Seattle, Chicago, Boston, London, Paris, Munich, Warsaw, New Delhi and Bangalore. You will be reporting directly to the Engineering Director – Infrastructure and Operations.
