In this role, you have the opportunity to be part of a team that takes care of the MRI installations at the customer sites across APAC. In case there is a high installation demand in other parts of the world, you can be send to customers outside APAC. The installation engineer is the face of Philips towards the customer and all stakeholders involved in the completion of the system installation. You will be in the part of the process from system delivery to the hospital up to completion of the installation delivering a system ready for clinical use.

You are responsible for

  • Mechanical and electrical installation of the MRI scanner

  • Power on, calibration and adjustment of the MRI scanner

  • Functional, Safety and Image Quality test to ensure verification against system requirements

  • Managing and dealing with 3rd parties involved in the customer site preparation like RF Cage builders, electrical contractors, construction contractors, painters, plasterers, architects, project managers etc.

  • Being the face towards the Philips customer during the installation process

  • Managing internal stakeholders like project managers, local biomed engineers, account managers and field service engineers and all others connected to the installation project

  • Keeping track on the installation progress on a daily basis and report accordingly towards the internal stakeholders

  • Make sure cost, quality and lead time of the installations remain within targets

  • Escalate process related as well as technical related issues to ensure prompt follow up

  • The works executed by the Philips or 3rd party second installer are to be checked and controlled

  • Follow up on defect or missing parts by providing a detailed investigation and problem description to ensure proper internal follow up and prevention.

You are a part of

The APAC dedicated installation team with members across APAC reporting into the market organization through the APAC installation coordinator. The team will be functioning as a satellite for the global installation team, which is responsible for all medical equipment installations worldwide and will request resources from the APAC team if required in other regions.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Electrical, mechanical or medical engineer

  • Team player and able to operate with customer first mindset

  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization

  • Ability to create structure in unknown environment

  • Accurate and tenacious

  • Deliver on commitment (working to plan)

  • Immune to stress and a hands-on mentality

  • Affinity with abstract and practical problem solving

  • Excellent Thai and English communication skills

  • Willingness to travel and work abroad 80% of the time
