Within HSBC Operations, Services and Technology, Global Service Delivery is a leader in the development of services and processes that are designed around the customer and enable the firm to demonstrate to regulators that its processes and ways of working will deliver consistently high standards of compliance. Role Purpose

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. In this role, you will: 

Impact on the Business/Function

• Participate, contribute and lead implementation of aspects of Project design , development and governance activities, whether arising locally or from the regional business partners

•  The role expects the incumbent to deliver end to end moderate to complex projects independently and also take lead by functionally guiding the Analysts/ AMs in the extended project team (across locations) to deliver on analyses / strategies

• Involves end to end project management and hands on delivery on development of models, forecasts, strategies using  Python, R,  and good to have skills in SAS, Xeno or other platforms and MS Suite based simulaton/scenario analyses tools; but not necessarily restricted to these.

• Ability to quantify the value/benefit delivered by strategies or improving the existing process/function/workstream through standardization and automation (by guiding and directing team efforts/skills).

• Set up processes to ensure documentation of results and follow sustainable, robust documentation practices in the team.

• Develop presentations that are “Business Ready”, to appropriately showcase the work done by the team, with appropriate story-telling and insightful interpretation of trends / enable and coach the team as well to develop such skills

Customers / Stakeholders

•  Work with multiple customers and stakeholders on projects / reports and models simultaneously

• Keep self and team updated of changes in the business / regulatory environment on an ongoing basis, so as to be able to anticipate customer needs, and support non-BAU projects / ad-hoc analysis as relevant, ensuring key takeaways are clearly articulated.

• Develop strong understanding of business domain, its strategic direction, functional goals, and the required technical expertise.

• See the 'bigger picture' and assess relationships between recommended analytical outputs and business performance.

•  Demonstrate strong sense of ownership and accountability on projects through strong project management skills and regular communication with internal project managers and business stakeholders pertaining

• The role holder will be expected to understand key business goals & priorities at top of the house level, and distill it down to specific goals for specific business partners. With this understanding the role holder shall be expected to track & analyze business performance and show initiative in identifying gaps and opportunities.

Leadership & Teamwork

Measure personal integrity and adherence to established HSBC policy on conduct , compliance and ISR

Understand personal training needs and take initiative to follow through personal development plan in conjunction with line manager

Identify training needs for the team. Help implement a training plan to upskill both new hires and existing employees on technical and functional knowledge. Challenge the team with ongoing non-BAU work as and when possible.
