In Sydney, a stellar engineering team within the Digital Health Technology Group of ResMed, is advancing digital solutions that manage, monitor and support patient’s health needs in over 140 different countries.
Your experience in software development and product delivery is needed to transform our platform and device data into a digital health services platform that enriches and enables healthy lives for our patients. You'll be working closely with product managers, operations, and the other software team members building the platform that services and supports our clients' and operator’s needs.

As a Leader of the team, you will be instrumental in energizing and delivering on various components and elements of our Core AirView Platform. This will range from architecting and designing our microservices framework to front-end applications both mobile and web based. You will be providing technical leadership and guiding work streams and helping progress the teams product objectives.
You will be leading and supervising a group of engineers, providing mentorship and technical guidance. You’ll be working cross functionally to specify, design and build the complete user experience. Having experience and exposure to the full product life cycles including deployment and support a must have experience. Your ability and past success in working across organizational boundaries, generating energy and bring clarity will be vital in this role. You will be coding.

Expanding on the existing frameworks and services implementing new products and features
Design and architecture new microservices and micro UI’s.
Guide and lead our implement, design and support as we journey into Amazon and other native cloud vendors.
Ensuring code quality through automated unit testing and integration testing frameworks and appropriate processes and practices.
Scalability design and performance enhancement

7 – 12 yrs of software engineering experience.
Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Solid ability in writing testable software
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Work proactively while adhering to schedules in a fast-paced environment.
Experience writing automated tests
Experience working for a commercial software company
AWS Services (ECS, Fargate, Docker) or equivalent cloud experience
Software Architecture and frameworks – Java, MicroServices, Spring, Hibernate, Apache, kubernetes, docker
7+ yrs Java development experience
2 – 5 yrs CI/CD pipeline tools and infrastructure
Build Tools: Maven, Bamboo, Concourse, YAML
Hands on leadership
Past success in Cloud platforms and delivery.
