Job Description:
Scope:
Provide technical expertise on multiple areas of underlying technologies, platforms, and subject matter relating to multiple products/solutions or infrastructure architecture. Performs technical supervision and involves a high degree of collaboration with project teams. Responsible for resolving ad-hoc technical queries within/outside the projects assigned. Research and identify required architecture components and/or frameworks that may span multiple products or areas of technology and develop white papers on the complex, functional architectural principles that have the high impact and risk exposure to the DST products/solutions.

+ Provide technical expertise on multiple areas of underlying technologies, platforms, and subject matter relating to product or infrastructure architecture.
+ Gather and analyze technical and industry-related trends and evaluate technological advances and various third-party products and tools.
+ Ensure current technical assets are leveraged and set the architectural direction of future product offerings.
+ Create models and conduct feasibility, cost/benefit, and risk analyses to make recommendations that support long-term product maintainability, reliability, scalability, while attempting to achieve and promote business objectives.
+ During critical production or disaster events, partner with Architects and development teams to function as experts to resolve the most complex technical issues or business situations.
+ Be viewed as technical leaders and be sought out as the primary escalation point for the most complex architectural-related issues or decisions.
+ Work in a collaborative Agile team environment to architect and support new and existing enterprise solutions.
+ Collaborate with clients (both domestic and international) to perform analysis and research.
+ Demonstrate the use and understanding of leading programming principles, methodologies, tools and techniques to architect secure enterprise solutions.
+ Will be tasked with setting strategic, tactical direction for short term software development plans.
+ May be required to participate in on-call rotation for products/systems or work non-traditional hours to meet business needs
+ Work assignments are typically deadline driven
+ Travel may include extended time at a remote work location
+ On-call support may be required and may include 24x7 coverage
+ May be required to work outside of normally scheduled hours as mandated by the client, project, and/or workload (e.g., evenings, weekends, and/or holidays); amount of notice may vary
+ May be required to conduct presentations, facilitate training, and/or speak in front of large groups of people and may include internal and/or client executive staff members
+ May be required to carry a cellular phone and/or laptop
+ May be exposed to confidential information and expected to maintain confidentiality at all times; may be required to adhere to a non-disclosure agreement
+ Domestic and/or international travel may be required
+ Computer usage may be required up to 100 percent of the time requiring proficiency with multiple systems and/or screens; may include heavy periods of keyboarding, repetitive motion, and/or eye strain
Work experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of work-related experience; or Master’s degree and 4 years of work-related experience; or 8 years of equivalent work-related experience
+ Minimum 7 years experienced in leading projects, software engineering, applications development.
+ Minimum 7 years exposure to the software development life cycle with demonstrated proficiency in multiple programming languages, platforms, and architecture principles mandatory.
+ Minimum 2 years architecture-related experience demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of architecture principles, methodologies, and techniques; proficient knowledge in multiple applicable programming languages and technologies desired.
+ Prior experience working in an Agile environment is mandatory.
