What are you going to do as a Logistic Engineer?

As a Logistic Engineer you will be responsible for the business administration and financial support for the warehouse. Your calculations and analyzes contributes to the productivity of the organization and with your advice logistic projects can be carried out. With your knowledge and expertise, you contribute to the preparation and realization of internal projects.

You will have the opportunity to improve processes and/or procedures, to develop automatic processes. You will have to work very project-based, this will ensure you a lot of variety and challenge every single day. In this role as a Logistic Engineer you are a sparring partner of the management but also with other Business Analysts at other locations.

As a Logistic Engineer you will work in dayshift from Monday till Friday and you will report to the DC Logistic Manager on Site and regional to the Senior Program Manager.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Lead analysis activities and requirement assessment, strategic alignment and projects scoping to meet business objectives and deliver quantifiable results through process improvement initiatives;
  • Develop and communicate a methodology which leads to continuous process improvement (Six Sigma, LEAN, etc.);
  • Study and analyze current processes, determine their effectiveness, and recommend and implement strategies for improvement;
  • Advocate for continuous improvement by promoting a strong teamwork atmosphere and a community of process improvement practice;
  • Root Cause Analysis, Process Development and Documentation;
  • Facility Design and Equipment Specification;
  • Work with IT team to identify and document new and enhanced IT functionality.

What makes you the ideal candidate?

  • Bachelor`s degree or equivalent (Supply Chain / Logistics);
  • A minimum of 2 years of Engineering experience at Operations / Warehousing related work;
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required expert level Excel skills required (Power Query and Power Pivot);
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written;
  • Ability to understand WMS systems thoroughly (Super user level) is a plus.
