Ensures the appropriate movement of people, materials, equipment by all modes of transport to support the needs of the business and customers. Includes defining movement support strategies and associated operating models; ensuring continued connections with business partners for movement demand planning; managing, enabling, and improving internally supported movement  processes; identifying and selecting external suppliers and assuring their performance; and managing related support infrastructure such as shorebases, heliports, airports, technologies, etc.

The SC Operations Europe group looks after manufacturing, filling, warehousing and transporting Chevron and Texaco branded Lubricants within Europe. The Logistics Operations Specialist (fixed-term contract) is a key position within the European Logistics team to ensure our logistics runs smoothly and products are supplied on time and in full to our central warehouse.

Key responsibilities are

In the role of Logistics Operations Specialist for our lubricants business in Europe, your responsibilities are the following:

  • Responsible for purchase order management
  • Accountable for a flawless operation of the inbound supply chain for packed finished products (800 SKU) from blending plant, several contract blenders and third- party suppliers to the central warehouse
  • Accountable for transactional discipline and correctness of above processes in the SAP system
  • Effective communication internally and with external service providers
  • Log and handle complaints
  • Organize and follow up on inbound transport.
  • Daily management of ad hoc issues
  • Measurement of performance
  • Responsible for the return to vendor process
  • Responsible for the repack/rebranding process
  • Responsible for arranging waste disposal.

  • Stress resistant

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or equivalent experience in an international environment t;
  • Good knowledge of excel
  • Understanding of SAP is an asset
  • Fluent Dutch & English
