HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
The candidate will report to the Group M&A Director and will be exposed to a variety of activities that are considered strategic to the success of the business. In particular, this person will be responsible for:
Supporting the Group M&A Director in planning and executing key corporate development projects, including, among others, joint ventures, equity transactions, acquisitions, merge and disposals, acting as a project manager across the organization, as well as with external partners
Managing and executing, with limited supervision, smaller M&A processes, including review of the opportunity, valuation, preparation of papers presenting the investment opportunity for internal validation, preparation of potential no binding offers with support of legal advisers, financial due diligence with or without support of accounting firms depending on deal size, SPA negotiation with support of legal advisers, incl. revision of price adjustment mechanisms
Responsible for preparing detailed business plans (P&L, B/S, Cash Flows) when required in the context of a transaction
Responsible for preparing valuation work with the relevant valuation methodologies depending on deal type and stage of target’s development
Analysis of projects’ return and payback period
Assisting the Group M&A Director as needed to ensure that she is prepared for all important meetings and documenting key outcomes and next steps, following up with stakeholders to ensure that commitments made are on track for completion
Managing and maintaining relationships with critical external constituents (such as current and future partners, consultants, legal and financial advisors), to be updated on opportunities which may arise in our space and maintain updated databases of relevant trading and transaction comparable multiples
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
Only candidates with great flexibility, including an ability and willingness to think strategically and act tactically will be successful in this role.
You have a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in similar roles, at least 5 of which in:
one of the big 4 accounting firms in the “Corporate Finance/M&A” practice in the valuation and M&A teams
M&A boutiques with exposure to luxury goods and retail
Private equity funds with coverage of luxury goods sectors, or consumer and retail
You are fluent in English. French and Italian considered as a plus.
You have flexibility to work long-hours and week-ends if and when needed, with an excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, PPT and available to travel abroad.

Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and to work independently with little supervision
Very strong analytical skills, including excel modelling
Very solid valuation and business planning skills
Knowledge of financial statements
Strong project management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to multi-task with solid organizational and time management skills
Sharp, curious, willing to learn and be challenged
Hard-working - candidates should have an excellent work ethic
Leadership and flexibility - ability to work with a wide spectrum of people inside and outside the firm (across different seniorities, strategic partners and consultants) and willing to manage the whole spectrum of responsibilities from strategic to very practical
