Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience deploying cloud solutions.
Experience in mainframe software (e.g. CICS, DB2, JCL, JES), mainframe application development and programming in Java or similar language.
Leadership experience with cross-functional teams and with developed professional documentation or published articles.
Experience in technical consulting.
Experience building multi-tier high availability applications with modern web technologies (e.g. Angular, Node JS, Spring, Apache).
Experience with architecting, developing software, or internet scale production-grade solutions in virtualized environments such as Google Cloud.
Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
Ability to speak and write English and German fluently.

As a Mainframe Consultant, you'll collaborate with our Data Center practice leads to create a Professional Services roadmap focused on legacy workloads, designing and building new solutions to help our customers migrate out of their data centers, and scaling all offerings relating to Google Cloud's modernization tools and services. As part of scaling, you'll work with both our field teams as well as coordinate rollout and enablement of our broader partner ecosystem.

Contribute to the services roadmap for legacy workload, and focus on accelerating data center transformation assessments and services delivery.
Collaborate and participate in the development of services packages, reference architectures, scripts and templates as needed.
Understand relevant product direction and inform product roadmap as the voice of the customer.
Coordinate regional field enablement with regional leadership and work closely with partner organization on external enablement activities.
