Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator

Site: Cloudbreak OPF

Roster: 8/6

Reporting to the Maintenance Execution Superintendent, this role will be responsible for all aspects of Mechanical Maintenance functions for operational Process Plant. You will be accountable for the planning, organising, supervision and control of Maintenance supervisors and teams and overseeing the key processes in the Maintenance execution of the Crushing, Screening and Infeed sections of the Ore processing facility.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Demonstrate strong safety values
  • Conducting field interactions and completing incident investigation in BMS
  • Coordinate planned work and breakdown work to achieve best business outcome
  • Continuously improve current processes for executing mechanical work
  • Identify, develop and publish SWI's
  • Adherence to the business plan
  • Work Management discipline through SAP
  • Strong threat management process and safe delivery of effective breakdown work
  • People and performance management of teams
  • Shutdown interaction and driving the scoping process
  • Ensure the OPF achieves or exceed budget availability and safety performance
  • Ensure all team activities are aligned with the overall business objectives
  • Ensure compliance to skills training matrix for self and direct reports
  • Cost control for area of accountability

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Considerable experience in a similar role gained in maintaining fixed plant in a workshop and field situation
  • Strong supervisory experience and leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven commitment to safety
  • Previous shutdown and maintenance experience and process plant in mining
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft office and computerized maintenance management systems (SAP preferable)
  • Strong understanding of both production and maintenance strategies for large scare processing plant
  • Mechanical Trade background and/or Engineering qualification
  • Frontline Management qualification
  • Previous experience in high precision fitting role is preferable
  • Previous experience with hydraulic systems
  • Previous experience with Cone Crushers, Jaw crushers and Sizers
