Job Overview

Main Summary:

Responsibility for the development and implementation of new manufacturing strategies and concepts including the implementation and support at our manufacturing location in Bevaix, Switzerland. Responsibility for the maintenance (incl. preventive maintenance) of equipment and manufacturing lines released in production. Sharing of best practices. Productivity improvement of existing processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, coach and develop the manufacturing engineering (3p) and maintenance (2p) team
  • Define acceptance criteria of new manufacturing processes and validate their capabilities (ensure the quality of the process according DFSS)
  • Optimize and adapt the production processes, considering EHS regulations, Quality and Cost
  • Drive and implement cost saving projects across the plant.
  • Participate in TIER meetings and coordinate communication and priorities between Production and ME team
  • Participate in product/process FMEA and contribute to the sharing of experience to the engineering department
  • Take part of NPI teams and represent ME function from Concept to Production phase
  • Project management for internal processes as well as new/incoming projects
  • Layout planification and documentation for tools and systems
  • CAPEX specification, technical follow up, steering of installation, spare part definition,...
  • Engineering change management (Inc. Calculation, costs billing, material and resources planning, etc...)
  • Interface for internal customer mainly technical and productive departments
  • Analyze quality issues related to manufacturing processes (in cooperation with Quality dept) and take part in the establishment of a continuous improvement approach.
  • Drive preventive maintenance and deployment of TPM
  • Follow-up and adapt manufacturing KPIs
What your background should look like:
  1. Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physical engineering, industrial engineering or comparable qualification
  2. Proven professional experience in a similar position preferably in the the field of micro or sensor technology
  3. Good Leadership skills and experience in leading and developing a team
  4. Analytical, structured, solution-oriented approach.
  5. Customer-oriented action / Internal service understanding
  6. Creative, innovative, "think outside the box”
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  8. Team player
  9. Proactive and ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  10. English and French proficiency in spoken and written.
  11. Good knowledge of LEAN tools and problem-solving methods (Structured Problem Solving, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt)
  12. Secure application of the MS Office package (Excel, PP, PowerBI)
