Your new role
We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Manager to lead and deliver on the day to day maintenance activities in the Packaging and Filling areas of our 24/7 production facility. With overall responsibility for a team of 40 electrical and mechanical maintenance professionals, you will ensure and optimise standard ways of working across all shifts, fostering collaboration with a strong customer orientation to generate continuous improvement in line with our strategic objectives of Quality, Safety and OEE.
Your success will come from your ability to empower the Maintenance Shift Leads to initiate change, challenge the status quo whilst driving a culture of teamwork, accountability and performance.

+ Ensures that all activities and staff under their control comply with the AstraZeneca Safety, Health and Environment standards, and that plans for the continuous improvement of Safety, Health and Environment performance are implemented and monitored
+ Drive timely, efficient execution of preventative maintenance program
+ Responsible for Maintenance Excellence processes, ensuring that processes are fit for purpose and applied consistently across business units as appropriate
+ Ensure that the maintenance team provides high quality customer service to other departments and that customer expectations are exceeded
+ Delivers process improvements in line with identified business cases to support improvements and to optimise the maintenance spend and headcount
+ Provides guidance and coaching to Maintenance Shift Leads and the broader maintenance team and set the standard of maintenance professionalism within the function
+ Identifies and leads the implementation of changes and improvements to maintenance operations

Your experiences and qualifications

+ Degree or Trades qualification in engineering or sciences
+ Significant experience in a pharmaceutical or highly regulated, environment, in a maintenance leadership role
+ Thorough understanding of GMP principles desirable
+ Strong communication, people leadership and analytical skills
+ Familiarity with CI methodologies including 5S, Lean, Six sigma
