The PST Electronic Materials business unit located in Orangeburg, NYprovides services to the semiconductor industry, where we deliver the materials needed to keep the world connected\.
Currentlywe have an opportunity available for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic\.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
Job Purpose:Coordinates and performs preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and electro mechanical systems\.
Scope:
Works under regular supervision, utilizing somewhat diversified procedures and standards
Non\-standard decisions reviewed with immediate supervisor and/or Plant Manager
Has some latitude for variations in sequences of, and within, procedures to deal with unusual orunanticipated aspects of required work
Assesses own work and monitors progress against assigned goals
Completes both routine and non\-routine daily and weekly assignments
Performs routine repairs and preventive maintenance as scheduled
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Scheduled, coordinates repair, modification and preventive maintenance operations
Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains manufacturing equipment
Oversees and/or performs new equipment installations
Utilizes hand and portable power tools and follows safe working practices through all steps of equipment repair and maintenance
May provide advice to management regarding equipment life and usage and in researching new equipment purchases
Ensures operations technicians understand and follow safe working practices through all steps of equipment repair and maintenance
Coordinates and oversees the movement of furniture and/or materials and equipment as required
WORKING CONDITIONS

The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds\. Qualifications
High School education or equivalent
Knowledge of skilled trades
3\-5 years’ experience as a mechanic or repair person
Experience with manufacturing equipment
Electrical knowledge preferred
The role will be filled at a level T3 or T4 dependent on experience
This position requires the flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
This role works a 2ndshift–typically starting at 2pm\.
