Transport & Maintenance Supervisor

Location - Dahej, Gujarat

Major Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of fleet
• To implement preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance program as per truck manufacturers specification
• Responsible for maintaining and updating data in ERP system
• Performs Supervisory duties in scheduling and dispatch of Chemicals & Industrial Gas
• Responsible for driver recruitment, training and driver management
• Enforces safety practices and ensures drivers safety training
• Administers all truck maintenance purchases, including parts, tyres, tools etc
• Responsible for RTO & other Statutory Compliance
• Checks all repair work performed in the shop for completeness. This includes physical inspections and road tests before vehicle is turned back to user departments
• Preparing monthly reports and presenting to the Management

Essential Skills

• Must have minimum 3 - 4 years of experience Industrial Gas truck management
• Knowledge of an Automated Fleet Management Information System & ERP System
• Must be available on 24x7 call
• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License
• Considerable knowledge on safety practices and training drivers in Industrial Gases
• Ability to function and perform effectively as a manager and a supervisor
• Proficient in personal computer, including word processing, spreadsheets and database software; motor vehicle
