With a strong pipeline of work in Victoria, we currently have an exciting opportunity in Melbourne for an Environmental Management Consultant to join our team. Our current and emerging projects span a variety of sectors including transport infrastructure, power and energy, water, renewables, waste to energy, Defence and industrial. This solid pipeline provides our team with tremendous career opportunities, signature projects and a diversity of invigorating work. With in-house teams covering all environmental, planning and spatial disciplines as well as other technical/engineering teams, our people have plenty of opportunities for personal and professional growth.
We are looking for a motivated and collaborative individual with mid-senior level experience in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA); environmental risk assessments; feasibility studies and multi-criteria assessments; development and implementation of environmental management systems; auditing and compliance assessments and due diligence advice in transactional services.
The successful candidate will play a key role contributing to the growth and successful performance of our Environmental Management services, both in Victoria and nationally.
You are an accomplished practitioner, having delivered a variety of projects with excellent outcomes for clients and the business. You’ve dabbled in a number of sectors and are now looking for the next challenge; perhaps it’s a different sector, a larger project/program or working with a broader cross-section of disciplines.
You will be experienced in the provision of health, safety and environmental services, and demonstrated delivery of EIAs, environmental risk assessments, feasibility studies and management of large multidisciplinary projects.
Skills and requirements for the role include:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
- Demonstrate excellent understanding and application of environmental legislative frameworks, including the requirements across multiple State and Commonwealth jurisdictions
- Project Management experience in the delivery of projects utilising a number of specialist disciplines
- Strong engagement and communication skills to liaise with relevant authorities and key stakeholders
- Experience in the successful delivery of complex sustainability strategies and outcomes
- Knowledge of the current and leading industry standards to manage environmental risk is required
- Knowledge and experience of one or more sectors (e.g. rail industry, Defence, roads, renewables (wind, solar, hydro, batteries), waste management, waste-to-energy, hydrogen, industrial, power and energy, water sector, construction environmental management) is also favoured
