Your Role

An exciting new role has come available within our People & Culture team. Reporting to the Employee Care and Injury Management Lead.

The purpose of the position is to provide Early Intervention service/strategies and Case Management support for Australia Unity inclusive of all internal stakeholders, with the main priority Managers/Supervisors and Employees.

 A key focus of this role is to identify suitable employment duties, appropriate support requirements and facilitate Return to work outcomes.

The role requires the ability to offer expert rehabilitation advice and coaching to managers which will drive improvements in rehabilitation and return to work outcomes along with increased engagement of injured employees and managers.

To be successful in securing this role you will have:

  • Proven experience of injury management, workers compensation and cultural change across a large and diverse workforce
  • Experience with state based Workers Compensation Legislation, exposure to various states desirable.
  • Sound knowledge and expertise in developing strategies in Workers’ Compensation
  • High level interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization with a proven ability to build effective and professional relationships and build a shared vision and the ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders.
  • Proven analytical, research and problem solving skills with the ability to identify key issues, seek multiple perspectives and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Proven experience in presenting information to large groups and facilitate training as required.
  • Qualifications in completing Ergonomic Assessments in diverse environments.
  • Passion for and belief in employee wellbeing and injury management  ambitions
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and manage expectations
  • Ability to implement strategy to achieve key outcomes
  • Proactive, engaged, collaborative and professional
  • Constructive team work skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
