Sr. Manager – Product Implementation

Senior Manager – Product Implementation will be responsible for managing all critical aspects of Product Implementation. The position involves working closely with several stakeholders including the Client IT & Business Partners, Client assigned Systems Integrators, Internal Team members from the Implementation & Engineering Teams as well as the Senior Management overseeing the implementation. The key success factors for this role will include steering the project to a success by delivering quality product and artifacts to the client within the stipulated timeline and budget. The candidate profile sought is that of a seasoned Delivery Manager who has previously worked in a technical role (Java/J2EE, XML, SQL or SSIS Development) and over the years, has managed teams with these skill sets. The candidate will have product implementation experience working across all phases of a typical product implementation project – from initiation, planning, execution, change management & closure. The desired candidate’s communication, presentation, analytical & documentation skills should be par-excellence.  

Job Description

  • Will be the key Point of Contact for the client
  • Manage client expectations w.r.t. Scope, quality and timelines
  • Define scope of work and develop work breakdown structure
  • Assign tasks to team members and follow-up through to completion
  • Develop effort and cost estimates
  • Follow defined implementation process methodology
  • Develop and manage schedules
  • Identify and manage risks
  • Manage issues and take corrective actions
  • Manage integrated change control process
  • Communicate with the Product Team on:
    • Client requested features which need to be developed at a product level
    • Negotiating Timelines for Product Features
    • Product Limitations
  • Track client reported issues; conduct root cause analysis
  • Conduct Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning & Retroactive Meetings
  • Maintain client specific change request backlogs
  • Manage and track project budget
  • Deliver as per the agreed implementation schedule
  • Project communications and weekly status report (internal & external)

Desired Knowledge and Skills

  • Working Knowledge of Java / J2EE, XML, SQL or SSIS
  • Working Knowledge of Project Management principles is essential
  • Knowledge of insurance business processes, distribution management strategies, multi-channel structures, hierarchies, agency onboarding, policy servicing, underwriting and reinsurance will be a plus
  • Working in a multiple projects environment with teams and customers across various geographical regions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills along with an ability to effectively engage with business, management and IT stakeholders
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Visio
  • Passion for excellence and attention to details is required
  • Agile methodology experience in Product Oriented organization is a plus


  • At least 12 Years+ experience in software development / engineering; project delivery & management roles
  • BE/BTech/MBA from a good institute
  • PMP / Scrum Master Certification will be a plus
  • Open to international travel for both short & long term assignments
  • Valid B1/B2/H1B Visa will be a plus
