Job SummaryResponsible for the overall business of Avantor Equipment Services, the ES manager will focus on developing and executing our strategy to drive the sales growth for equipment service segment. In this role, she/he will be responsible for leading the ES team and managing business include lab furniture and design, equipment installation and calibration, lab relocation projects, and service vendor management.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop effective business strategy to ensure long-term business growth
  • Take actively lead in sales strategy implementation of Equipment Services  
  • Work closely with Sales team to explore and track leads, improve winning probability and secure opportunities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the China Service Staff to ensure team’s talent development and create an energizing and high-performance team culture.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Field Service team, to include service engineer deployment, quality assessment, maintenance/warranty contract management, vendor optimization, project supervision and service capability upgrade.
  • Provides accurate forecasting, budgeting and participate in S&OP meetings, marketing plans and promotion campaigns when necessary.
  • Timely respond to critical issues and customer complaints. Seek and dispatch local and global resources to better resolve the problem.
  • Establish metrics for measuring service effectiveness and efficiency, as well as team performance.
  • Resolves customer support issues with speed and quality and maintains strong customer relationships to ensure effective and long-term problem resolution.
  • Other tasks assigned by line manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronics, Medical Devices, Medical Electronics, Automation & Control or other relevant professionals
  • 8+ years of experience in equipment management business with a minimum of 3 years leadership experience in team management.
  • Extensive knowledge in general equipment / instruments in labs with strong network in scientific labs or research environment.
  • A proven track record of a successful team leader with interaction of various functions.
