You are the Project Manager for assets of Thermo Fisher Scientific Allschwil. Assets can range from an office room to a new ISO8 classified GMP manufacturing room and from an entire floor to a completely new building for offices, manufacturing, packaging or warehouse. The Assets will also include the associated building systems like HVAC, sanitary and (clean) utilities, but also environmental monitoring systems like temperature monitoring and energy monitoring. .


  • Project management for the implementation of assets, buildings, area’s, rooms, systems, equipment and its components and instruments.
  • Managing the design, build & finance (CAPEX) phase of projects
  • Setting up and defend business cases for projects
  • Lead and guide several project coordinators
  • Monitor, visualize and report the actual planning and financial status of all projects
  • Implement warranties and the appropriate licenses for assets
  • Make sure all required permits are available and installed
  • Ensure assets are registered in the asset management system including inspection, maintenance, calibration and validation strategies and plans.
  • Make sure all qualification and commissioning documentation is available and registered.
  • Keeping up to date on industry standards and regulations, following the relevant SOP’s
  • Identify and recommend innovative technology solutions that will enhance our ability to deliver value and meet business needs
  • The continuous improvement of the quality by applying quality mindset and PPI/Lean/Six Sigma principles to daily technical and general operations of the team
Your Profile
  • 3-5 years’ work experience in a Facilities Management, Maintenance or Engineering environment.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven record in building construction engineering including utilities and HVAC, preferably in a GMP environment.
  • Knowledge on GMP guidelines for qualification and operation of assets
  • Must be able to work in a high-pressure team environment, handle multiple tasks and react quickly to problems and issues
  • Displays a deep understanding of the technology, industry, and market
  • Fluent English, German would be a plus
