The role…

Under the general direction of the Facilities Director, Organize, coordinate, and oversee all vendors, projects, space planning, tenant improvement, budgets, and operations. Lead Facilities Maintenance Technicians with encouragement by understanding their work and developing them.

What you will do…

Lead onsite facilities team:
+ Motivate, mentor, coach, and develop facilities skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, HVAC, locks/Keyless entry and customer service.
+ Identify objectives that allows for growth and development.
+ Develop best practices to ensure the team have the tools needed to be successful.
+ Conduct walkthroughs ensuring the building is being maintained to our standard.
Knowledge of leased facility and space strategy:
+ Oversee and accurately maintain the space maps and Workday input for assigned locations to ensure accurate counts for occupied and open space.
+ Knowledge of lease, space, equipment, operations within the building, and partnership working with landlord.
Lead and support Life Safety, Security, and Risk Management for site:
+ Manage ERT’s building training, CRP, AED, BBP, FA, and Active Assailant training to ensure the site is properly trained to handle a fire, shelter in place, or dangerous person.
+ Follow process and procedures for risk management that comply with NFPA, OSHA and City Industrial Permits to ensure compliance.
+ Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and capital projects:
+ Identify, research and present cost savings ideas that do not compromise standards or performance of the facility.
+ Identify opportunities with innovative solutions that improve employee engagement and retention.
+ Understanding and support for operating and capital budgets and how they are processed.
+ Maintain contracts for site facilities and initiate RFP’s for competitive proposals periodically.
Computer literacy for facilities programs and Office 360:
+ Knowledge of Service Now work order system, Badge and Camera systems.
+ Ability to function in a multi-system Microsoft environment using Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and department software applications.
+ Maintain documents in shared facilities folder and SharePoint for accurate records keeping.
Communication throughout the organization:
+ Develop and maintain relationships with landlord, onsite engineering, HR, Facilities team, Choice department contacts and leadership to ensure needs are met and an understanding of the company business.
Skills you have…
+ Bachelor’s degree in related field
+ Certification in related field preferred
+ 5 years of facilities related management level experience
+ Prior use of modern building systems including Energy Management systems, Building automation systems, Space planning software, and preventative maintenance software
+ Excellent leadership, teamwork, and customer service skills
+ Ability to work with minimal supervision
+ Ability to prioritize work

Other Requirements
+ Ability to lift 50 pounds and frequently performs walking, lifting, and climbing
+ Some overtime required
+ Valid MD driver’s license with clean driving record
