This role will lead or participate strategic transformation. This position will work closely with the senior leadership team of the company to drive significant savings and better enable revenue growth and EBITDA performance. The candidate will work closely with R&D, Quality Control, Manufacturing, and Regulatory departments in optimizing and harmonizing raw material usage for new product development and existing material optimization within numerous all IVC US sites Divisions and through the co-operations with IVC Global Strategic Sourcing.
Set/execute company-wide policies and operating procedures that govern third party purchases to assure compliance with laws, internal controls, financial terms and to manage risk associated to 3rd party relationships and supply.
Drive maturity through strategic initiatives such as benchmarking, Total Cost of Ownership, SPM/SRM, should cost modeling, E-Sourcing, data management and IT solutions.
Drive the organization through change, execute company-wide adoption of sourcing best practices and controls and processes.
Stay abreast of relevant economic, industry, supply market, and business conditions to update strategy and assure adequate and competitive supply of critical products and services to support ongoing business and new go-to-market initiatives.
Anticipate key supplier risk that could affect supply or financial impact of all sourcing.
Manage the performance of Suppliers to drive alignment with company’s goals and strategies.
Identify and implement Supplier Diversity strategies to achieve company-wide targets.
Set and monitor goals, targets and objectives for a team of sourcing and procurement professionals.
Build credibility with internal and external global stakeholders while providing strategic thought leadership to the overall business.
Partner with leaders across the organization on strategies that directly impact the company’s financial statements and operational performance.
Apply and promote optimized sourcing strategy for NPD process and projects to align and support sales objectives of increased total business volumes and improved profitability. Ensure the timely sourcing support to R&D, Accounting and other departments.
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
5+ years of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing function.
Extensive experience managing a procurement portfolio across various categories including various indirect spends with a clear focus on supplier innovation to identify new sources of goods and services.
Proven history of consistently delivering annual savings results.
Strong negotiation skills with ability to close complex, multi-million-dollar deals.
The ideal candidate will have strong global knowledge with ability to respond to global changes in the marketplace. Knowledge of both price and consumptions savings levers and risk management will be expected. Knowledge of Asian supplier market is a plus.
