What we're looking for:

Someone eager to join Deel and build a small team focused on prospecting, negotiating, and finalizing Deel’s most strategic partnerships. The opportunity to bring new external partners onto Deel’s platform is massive. There is tremendous synergy between the global infrastructure and technology that Deel has built, and what many Human Capital, Talent and Payroll organizations need. We are looking for a dynamic leader to unlock this synergy and value, build our partner community and help take business for all involved to a new level.

It is still early days for Deel (there is huge growth ahead) …we need someone who isn’t fazed by ambiguity, can roll up their sleeves, and build and move at Deel speed!

Responsibilities:

  • Set the strategy for acquiring new commercial partners for Deel across North America

  • Provide overall pipeline management for the partner acquisition funnel, including robust prioritization, goaling and measurement frameworks

  • Build and manage a small, focused team of high performing Partner Business Development Managers to execute on the acquisition strategy across partnership channels

  • Oversee the smooth handoff of signed partners to cross-functional departments in Partner Management, Onboarding, and Customer Success

  • As a ‘player/coach’, lead the partnership process for the most strategic and complex partnerships

  • Work hand-in-glove with Partner Operations, Partner Leadership and Partner Managers to coordinate efforts across prospective partners

  • Manage multi-threaded partner C-suite stakeholders to ensure a mutually beneficial commercial structure and a timely outcome

  • Implement and leverage a range of tools and processes to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of the team’s outbound efforts

Requirements:

  • You have a way with words and can manage outbound communications, build/deliver executive presentations, and design campaigns that activate partners.

  • You are adaptable and comfortable with a fast-paced environment.

  • You are an ‘owner’, and are comfortable pursuing deals autonomously and creatively, without much central support

  • You are polished and can lead c-suite conversations in a structured, professional, and thoughtful manner

  • You have 3+ years of people management experience and at least 4 years of experience in Partner Sales, Partner Acquisition or Business/Corporate Development; closing experience is a must

  • You are comfortable with financial modeling and can use that to inform a complex negotiation

  • You have a strong understanding of the technology landscape - HCM and Payroll tech experience is a plus
