The vast majority of consumer journeys start online – they like to browse, research and compare products, even if they intend to buy in-store. The way consumers shop is reshaping the marketplace. As a result, many of our wholesale accounts (partners) are going through their own digital transformations. They are investing in how they reach the consumer online, whilst a new breed of accounts in the form of pure players and eMarketplaces have emerged in our digital ecosystem with new business models to service and sell to our consumers. At adidas, we are redefining our digital presence in a way that will push the future of digital and create premium experiences across all our consumer touchpoints to drive brand desirability, engagement and sales for our brands. The Digital Partner Commerce (DPC) team is driving this evolution in digital wholesale and through new business models across our worldwide organization.

The DPC Digital Account Management team is accelerating digital sales growth with selected strategic partners by providing the leadership, expertise and capabilities for “how to win” online to compliment the activities of the Market. Ensuring our Wholesale partners receive unmatched support and enabling them to serve consumers in the best way possible, adidas established a dedicated key account organization providing industry-leading service and coordinating all global adidas interactions with them.

As Manager Partner Development responsible for Digital Account Management, you will support the development of a strategic business plan in direct collaboration with the account. Further, you will enable market account teams to drive sustainable and profitable sales and market share growth by representing the needs of the account to key global stakeholders. Success will be defined by locally enabled account teams equipped with all tools, resources and support to execute the strategic business plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the DPC Director Digital Account Management (DAM) with development of the strategic account plan and ensure alignment of account strategies across all markets
  • Support the Director DAM to work cross functionally with Global Key Account teams & support functions to drive a common approach on how we grow our accounts digitally
  • Establish the framework that supports scaling and delivery to global multi-channel accounts and local accounts.
  • Monitor and facilitate cross-border activities and coordinate new market expansion with local account teams
  • Support local account teams by facilitating best practice sharing across markets, providing them with the right tools to optimize the online consumer experience and drive conversion
  • Understand the consumer path-to-purchase and account needs to inform global product and marketing creation strategies
  • Drive consistent communication and transparency of account performance to all stakeholders, including senior leadership teams

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in leading and managing teams involving diverse sets of stakeholders from different functions and nationalities
  • Exceptional relationship building, negotiation and communication skills
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset, encouraging change and taking personal ownership
  • Deep understanding of key Digital success metrics (conversion, click-through rate etc.) and retailer’s financial metrics (sales, inventory, margin, returns etc.)
  • Fluent English, both verbally and written

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in the field of Business or equivalent
  • 5+ years of professional experience, ideally with experience in eCommerce Sales and account management
