The People Communications team is part of a larger dynamic People Operations team at Grab. This team is responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of regional people communications efforts. This is a relatively new team set up to support our increasing need to communicate effectively within the organisation on people updates and changes.
Get to know the Role :
The People Communications Manager plays a key role in shaping a positive employee experience at Grab through the power of communications. An excellent candidate (and team mate!) would be someone who can see the big picture of how communications play strategic role in an organisation, plan out the strategies of how we can get there, and operationalize the ideals to build this vision.


The day-to-day activities :

We are looking for a strong communications expert to drive this vision forward. This is a glimpse of what you will be working on:

  • Plan and execute communication plans for Grab-wide People projects, including:

    • Gather and align stakeholder requirements

    • Manage project timelines

    • Work with creatives on design assets and collaterals

    • Write/edit strategic communication pieces

    • Execute plan against timelines

    • Measure effectiveness of plans

  • Manage sensitive and confidential people projects

    • Drive change initiatives from a communications angle

    • Work with People Operations business partners, technology teams and business leaders on executing people communications plans

  • Support Head of People’s communications

    • Manage Head of People’s communications needs

    • Work with PR team on assessing external media engagement and ROI

    • Prepare communication materials for internal and external engagement


The must haves :

  • Minimum 6 to 8 years in either Marketing, Communications or related fields    
  • Proven record of being a strong team player
  • Must have a good knowledge of marketing and communications principles and tactics
  • Must have excellent written and communication skills
  • Competency in developing and executing a strong communications strategy across multiple online/offline platforms
  • Basic design skills will be preferred  
  • Experience working in a start-up environment is preferred
  • Change management experience is a plus 
  • Proven record of the ability to drive results in a team under tight timelines
  • Good knowledge of the talent landscape, especially in Southeast Asia, India, US and China
  • Regional language proficiency is a plus (e.g. Mandarin, or any SEA languages)
  • Must be creative, fun-loving and dare to try new things to achieve results
  • Passion to build a strong organisational culture through creative communications campaigns 
  • Must be a strong team player
