What this job involves

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marina Attendant to join our onsite team at Sydney’s premier dry boat storage facility and marina, located a short drive from Sydney’s CBD! You’ll be reporting directly to the Marina Manager and interacting with various members of the Sydney Boathouse operations team, to assist with numerous facets of the operation and day to day running of the facility.

Please note this is ongoing casual position. 

Here’s a snapshot of what will keep you busy:

  • Maintaining Quality Control and Workplace Health and Safety policies
  • Day to day management of all vessel movements and assisting with vessel lifting
  • Assisting with the management and co-ordination of contractors and preventative maintenance
  • Operation of plant/machinery including forklifts
  • Maintaining a secure premises including vessels, staff and customers
  • Coordinating and delegation of day to day yard duties
  • Maintaining a happy and positive working relationship will all organisations and individuals
  • Handling basic sales enquiries
  • Weekend work

You’ll be a team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude and strong verbal and written communication skills. Your strong organisational and time management skills combined with your ability to build and maintain strong relationships will make you the prefect candidate for this positon. This role is a great opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic marine professional with a strong customer service focus and at least 3-5 years of industry experience in a similar role. Please note: you must have a boat licence and a forklift licence with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to be eligible for this role.
