Position Description
Responsible for managing and developing a Market Development team in order to generate pipeline for sales team. Role also has a requirement (40%) to generate pipeline for sales team as an individual contributor.  Role reports to Director, Marketing. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to grow their management career at a fast growing cloud computing provider.
Responsibilities:


  • Accountable for delivering towards segment pipeline goals
  • Responsible for recruiting and leading a team of Market Development Representatives to deliver qualified prospect leads/opportunities in order to meet corporate sales goals.
  • Manage and develop market development team through proactive performance management and various development tools
  • Work with Marketing to effectively support marketing campaign follow up
  • Lead market development team to perform to the high standards through coaching, development, training and desirable employee satisfaction
  • Work with the leadership team to communicate expectations to staff and monitor and report on results to senior leadership
  • Proactively calling into accounts in order to generate appointments for the sales team
  • Qualification and nurture of inbound leads through to appointment stage
  • Contact data from internal CRM system (Salesforce.com). The candidate will also be expected to research prospective companies to obtain contact details and other basic profile information
  • Overcome objections and effectively communicate Concur’s value propositions to key decision makers
  • Participate on cross-functional teams as needed to further sales initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous management experience as a team leader in a telemarketing capacity
  • Intelligent and able to assimilate information quickly
  • Can lead by example
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Confident in overcoming rejection and setting challenging goals on a daily basis
  • Ambitious and willing to learn
  • Professional phone manner with a consultative approach and tone of voice

    Education, Experience & Training required:
  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales or prospecting role.
  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing a sales or lead generation team.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
