Manage Jo Malone London’s product strategy by being the lead support of the Marketing Manager in:

• Owning & leading development of key categories building blocks through innovation strategy and hero pillar support cadence
• Leading voice for EMEA regional needs with global counterparts and stakeholders
• Leading & aligning EMEA markets with regional product strategy and vision
• Foster a strong marketing community with Regional, Global and Affiliate
• Lead regular sharing & connect session among product marketing communities
• Manage efficient communication & information sharing from Global to Affiliates

Key tasks:

1. Product Strategy
• Assist to the development of the innovation strategy & key franchise architecture for the Region, working to identify need gaps/ opportunities for new products and hero pillars
• Co-own development of 360 Consumer Marketing calendar for the Region with Regional CEM, identifying go-to-market program priorities and opportunities against hero pillars
• Facilitate the integration of consumer insight and foresight into actionable strategic and tactical recommendations
• Ensure success of JML/EDPFM product and hero pillar performance in EMEA through calendar alignment, active performance and category management

2. Program Development and Launch Support
• Assist in development and follow up of global brief for key regional programs (key launches, occasions, re-support and always-on) to guide program support development
• Partner with cross function team (Consumer Engagement, Education, VMD) and corporate counterparts (Online, CRM, Consumer Marketing, Insights) to create and/or to ensure program support relevancy & sufficiency for the markets
• Work closely with Consumer Engagement to drive global processes and seek opportunities for continual improvement
• Understand and capture Affiliate needs base on factual learnings and qualitative feedback

3. New Launch and Ongoing Forecast Management
• Participate in regional discussions contributing market and trend insight to evaluate regional relevance of innovation / new launches and work closely with Marketing and Demand Planning teams to design the appropriate Forecast Guidelines for the Region
• Partner with Regional Demand Planning Team to ensures the forecast guideline is implemented correctly in market
• Support the Demand Planner on basic line planning as required, contributing market, trend and consumer insight, ensuring alignment with the sales plan
• Participate in SIOP meetings, providing category, market, trend and consumer insight, as well as evaluating new launch performance
• Lead development of regional and retailer specific line-ups and actively influence annual global line-up edit process

4. Analysis and Reporting
• Lead market, category and product reports to educate brand and inform strategic planning & opportunities, including, but not limited to:
 NPD /Euromonitor
 Quarterly Business Report
 Key program post launch reports
 Monthly MOB report

• Prepare regular updates to Regional and Global teams on the business trends based on syndicated panels
• Gather market and consumer intelligence on the EMEA market place and its key markets
• Work closely with cross function team (Consumer Engagement, Online, Education, VMD, CRM) to facilitate holistic reporting and reviews
• Ad hoc reporting requests

5. Pricing
• Assist MM in in-depth annual strategic pricing review for all EMEA markets, reviewing in-market competition and cross-market/region price corridors, to maximize opportunities to drive long term profitability for the brand
• Ensure adequate new product pricing guideline is set for new launches and kits by partnering & influencing Global / Affiliate
• Ensures the pricing guideline is properly executed in markets.

6. Sampling & Gifting
• Support planning and deployment of sampling and gifting strategy for the region, ensuring alignment with marketing strategy
• Own product sampling & gifting effectiveness analysis to guide future strategies to help build business from both traffic driving and consumption building aspects
• Work with cross function team (Online, Consumer Engagement, Education, VMD) to ensure support align to regional sampling and gifting strategies

7. Other
• Support MM in preparation of product marketing related strategy presentations and materials including twice yearly regional roundtables, global marketing workshops, annual regional strategy, etc.

Minimum Education Level: University degree, preferably in Marketing related area
Minimum Years and Area of Experience: Working experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the cosmetics industry, CPG, luxury retail industries and/or with market/regional exposure
Required Language Proficiency: Proficient in English (Written & Spoken), other EMEA languages is preferred/

• Be well experienced in and passionate about product marketing with industry knowledge a strong plus
• Must have strong numerical skills and an analytical and logical mindset to analyze figures and draw conclusions / make strong business recommendations
• Be comfortable reviewing forecasts and making educated decisions based upon numerical data
• Be a self-starter and able to work autonomously, driving momentum on projects & proactively planning future strategic activities
• Be a strong collaborator and team player
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to juggle multiple projects and work to tight deadlines while maintaining a superb eye for detail
• Have a service mindset when it comes to supporting affiliate market needs
• Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written as well as being an engaging presenter
• Be able to demonstrate excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint essential)
• Be comfortable working with people at all levels of the organization & able to develop strong working relationships across the corporation
• Have international business/academic background and be able to work in a multi-national environment with strong curiosity to understand different cultures
