About the Role:
Being a two-sided marketplace it is essential that we drive engagement with both tradies and consumers to deliver jobs growth, whilst also building our base of engaged tradies to deliver quality work.

This role exists to design, execute and continually evolve our consumer engagement program. You will be accountable for lifecycle strategies and marketing initiatives that drive engagement with existing consumers, increasing repeat usage and influence consumer advocacy.

You will report against engagement, consumer NPS, and repeat targets - leading ultimately to job volumes.

What you’ll be working on

  • Design, execute and continually optimise consumer lifecycle communications, journeys, initiatives and campaigns to increase engagement and grow job volumes from existing customers
  • Utilise a test, measure and learn approach to iterate and optimise initiatives, delivering maximum value over time and plugging any leaks in the conversion funnel.
  • Evolve our consumer contact program from campaign based approach to one that monitors consumer actions or events, then triggers tailored, relevant communications to the right customer via the ideal channel including email and push. This will be enabled by our new marketing automation systems - Braze and Amplitude.
  • Work closely with Data and Product teams in order to build appropriate reporting frameworks to regularly measure and report on the performance and effectiveness of consumer lifecycle marketing
  • Manage relevant external vendors or internal project resources required to deliver consumer lifecycle marketing.
  • Work closely with our data team to consider and recommend consumer segments, enabling you to design marketing plans aligned to desired segment outcomes.
  • Contribute to strategic marketing programs by serving as a subject matter expert for lifecycle marketing.
  • Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to find inventive ways to improve campaign performance and evolve our marketing automation capability.
  • Contact management - create/manage preference centre and contact rules building and enforcement.
  • Train & mentor staff on marketing automation where appropriate.


  • Demonstrated data driven customer marketing experience (either Client or Agency side)
  • Experience of executing customer lifecycle activities including direct and content marketing, 1:1 automated event and trigger-based programs
  • Be a subject matter expert on marketing automation
  • Exposure to marketing effectiveness – ROI, LTV and budget management
  • HTML/ CSS skills
  • Expertise in ROI, volume trends & forecasting
  • Exposure to any of the following Marketing Automation Tools; Baze, Amplitude, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Marketing Cloud etc)
  • General UI & UX design understanding
