Reporting to the Senior Director – Marketing, Brand & Communications, APAC, the role will support the regional marketing leads, content marketing lead, and growth & solutions marketing leads, primarily in the content space. The role will have a dotted report to the Indian GID Sales Hub lead from a duty of care perspective.



The ‘Marketing Specialist – Content’ is a critical role when it comes to establishing deep connections with the audiences we serve today.



The primary focus of this role is to be a storyteller. Working closely with marketing team members and key stakeholders across the business, you will respond to briefs and proactively identify opportunities for stories that showcase our solutions, people and thinking. You will progress and deliver a range of promotional and thought leadership content that drives brand awareness, establishes our credibility in the market and helps position us to win work.



You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple content projects, developing and executing content plans and supporting the strategic planning and creative development of audience engagement materials that support the content marketing efforts.



This is an excellent role for a Marketing specialist who has an interest in creating content but also enjoys having hands on experience across multiple streams of marketing and wants to carve a niche in the content marketing space.



Key responsibilities




  • Work with the wider marketing team to execute a content strategy that effectively markets the organisation and educates our target markets in terms of issues (internal and external) and maximises the organisation's market positioning efforts.

  • Where required, translate strategic objectives into tactical marketing communications activities to develop and project-manage compelling on-brand communications in support of the marketing strategy

  • Support the Regional Marketing Managers to identify, develop, plan and implement relevant and impactful marketing campaigns across multiple initiatives.

  • Work closely with the Regional Marketing managers to develop content for a wide range of channels, including press releases, social media and website.

  • Proactively contribute to thought-leadership content development

  • Support the creation of content specifically linked to promoting key strategic growth areas to position and differentiate Jacobs’ offering in these areas in relevant market sectors.

  • Support the creation of content for pre-positioning campaigns to help execute Opportunity Marketing Plans.

  • Support the development of content for internal communications and employee campaigns as needed to contribute to overall internal communications strategy and effective employee engagement tactics.

  • Bring stories, creative design, media type and channels together to enhance communication impact including video story boards and scripts, podcast scripts and interview questions, infographics, animations etc.

  • Contribute to different ongoing marketing projects as required; where relevant ‘own’ such projects.

  • Provide regular updates and statistic on the consumption of content

  • Support the marketing leads across content and regions in driving market research needed to assist in strategic planning, goal setting, and results tracking

  • Develop and execute a media/PR plan in India

  • Develop and execute a marketing plan to strengthen the employer brand in India

  • Develop and maintain key internal stakeholder relationships in India, including functional leads, sales and operations

  • Regularly meet with key internal stakeholders in India to identify strategic content and messaging (project wins, milestones, achievements, initiatives, awards etc.)



  • Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in marketing, business, communications, journalism and/or relevant field of study preferred.

  • At least five years’ experience in a B2B Marketing role where content was a core responsibility.

  • Previous experience working in a similar role within an agency environment, professional services (engineering, property or infrastructure), or consulting space will be highly regarded

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a very high standard of written English.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent project co-ordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities.

  • Commitment to promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organisational functions

  • Ability to handle multiple deliverables at once

  • Outstanding communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation)

  • A passionate wordsmith and natural storyteller

  • Evaluate marketing programs and campaigns across multiple criteria
