Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Materials Manager to work in our collaborative manufacturing and office environment in Lake Forest, CA. The position is responsible for maintaining and driving a comprehensive materials management program in a manufacturing environment. The incumbent will lead a staff of Materials Management team members, serve on and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, support company strategic initiatives, and drive continuous improvement.   • Translate forecast information into short and long term materials planning.
  • Update and maintain the material master.
  • Schedule, plan and ensure on-time customer delivery.
  • Lead scheduling activities, including development of a master production schedule; Monitor and report on the accuracy of and performance against production plans and schedules.
  • Manage the development of production forecasts based on customer orders and knowledge supplied by the sales teams.
  • Manage inventory control and planning activities including the scheduling and coordination of and physical inventories, maintenance of accurate inventory.
  • Provide reports on customer delivery performance, inventory levels.
  • Coordinate and manage receipt, storage, inventory, and control of all materials applicable to the manufacturing operation.
  • Direct, lead, and manage receiving, warehousing and shipping .
  • Collaborate with procurement functions for planning components and raw materials from approved suppliers.
  • Maintain effective working relationships and communication with all departments.
  • Operate within budget and contribute to the overall adherence to budget and expenses for the facility.
  • Lead projects related to continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts in accordance with business plans.
  • Analyze inventory levels to determine resolutions for I&O and alternate consumption.
  • Collaborate with new product development team on material fulfillment strategy for new product integration.
  • Support MSA customer service team on customer issues and help to expedite orders when needed.
