Overview of job
Wavemaker is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for an Investment & Activation Executive to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for buying all approved media, to support the (Investment & Activation) Director and Manager in becoming the interface between Wavemaker and the media whilst ensure client campaigns are executed and amplified in a relevant and leading manner

In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:

  • Developed a sound understanding of the clients’ needs, knowing how to work closely with our partners to deliver them the very best results, week in & week out
  • Deliver successful campaigns that achieve the weekly targets
  • You will have started to build relationships with   the Agency Executive team,   key   Client and Trading leads within Wavemaker
  • Establish a strong relationship with the media, clients   and   creative agencies
  • Gains   responsibility for buying across all media. Supports Manager with overall buying product and delivery of all campaigns within their client portfolio

In six months:

  • Active role in briefing media owners and contributing to recommendations
  • Presenting to the client where required (weekly or monthly, or both) in conjunction with I&A Manager or Director
  • Be able to use Group M suite of tools to gain additional insights

In 12 months :

  • Proactively lead and build successful reports, and guide them to progress in their roles in their own right
  • Proactively highlight any issues with the buy, upcoming challenges and media developments or trends in the marketplace which will impact buying performance
  • Continue to further develop and grow not just within the I&A team, but within the agency, delivering to an even stronger culture

W hat your day job looks like at Wavemaker :

  • Establish a strong relationship with the media,   clients   and creative agencies
  • Responsible   for buying across all media. Supports Manager with overall buying product and delivery of all campaigns within their client portfolio.
  • Example; Television Buying, R&F goals, TARP delivery, budget management, programme access and quality parameters.
  • Responsible for completing weekly tracking on all campaign parameters on all TV buys.
  • In conjunction with the I&A Managers assists in the training and development of Analysts.
  • Ensures that Analysts deliver on all key responsibilities.

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum   1 year   experience with a strong trading focus
  • Confident TV buyer for both Metro and Regional market
  • An understanding of all key mediums and how the marketplace impacts media buys
  • A   passionate individual with a strong work ethic
  • Collaborative and values   a   team   approach
  • Holds a professional approach with all people you come in contact with, internal & external
