Job Description



Mindshare is a GroupM agency, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for Media Executive to join the Neo business unit.

The successful candidate will be a passionate 360 media professional with 1 years’ experience who has had client service exposure, who enjoys exceeding client’s business expectations while supporting the manger and the team account director.

Reporting of the role
This role reports into the Account Director of the integrated team

Measures of success –
In three months, you would have:

  • Proven an understanding of the Australian media landscape
  • Established strong relationships with our media partners and vendors
  • Ensured your briefing and feedback process to vendors and media is best in class
  • Built a good working relationship with your line manager and client stakeholders
  • Developed a strong understanding of finance processes and understand the importance of your role in delivering accurate billings and other financial inputs
  • Planned and launched media campaigns
  • Worked with your line manager to identify appropriate training and development


In six months, you would have:

  • Developed great relationships with client stakeholders
  • Developed a clear understanding of clients’ business objectives and how this is linked to media investment
  • Contributed successfully delivering media strategies that have met or exceeded client expectations
  • Consistently met your finance process responsibilities
  • Have mapped and developed a training roadmap with your line manager
  • Helped develop monthly reports, QBR’s and PCR’s
  • Has a clear understanding of the clients category


In 12 months, you would have:

  • Develop the skills to monitor and optimise campaigns across multiple channels
  • Be accountable for the success of campaigns
  • Meet KPIs that were set at your 6 month tenure
  • Have established strong working relationships with relevant agency partners
  • Managing client and vendor relationships and understanding when to handle situations on your own and when to lean on a point of escalation, such as your line manager
  • Assists with development of the assistants’ growth within the team


Responsibilities of the role:

  • Produce regular client reporting and post analysis documents
  • Identify gaps in the market to expand advertising reach and ultimately grow client accounts
  • Market research for new business pitches
  • Research to inform media investment planning
  • Ad-ops; including campaign trafficking, QA, optimisation and monitoring
  • Work with wider team to ensure full integration of performance media / search / social within the marketing mix
  • Assist in driving innovation throughout client campaigns
  • Financial responsibilities including, insertion / purchase orders, MBA generation, financial system data input and payment process


What you will need:

  • Detail and results oriented, problem solver
  • Basic understanding of media campaign performance metrics
  • Highly organised; Good analytic and time management skills
  • Desire to learn about media planning an investment
  • Proven proficiency in computer skills (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience with exposure to planning offline (OOH, radio) and/or online channels (social, programmatic, search)
  • Working knowledge of ad serving and trafficking
  • Proven experience in project coordination
