The WKO Middle Office Operations role supports front office sales in fulfilling the Know Your Customer (KYC) obligations for both new business (existing and new to bank) and periodic reviews of existing clients.

The role will be part of a team that is supporting client coverage with the fulfillment of Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/ KYC requirements.

The Commercial Banking Client On-boarding (CBCO) Know Your Customer (KYC) Organization will be the team supporting client coverage with the fulfillment of Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/ Know Your Customer requirements.


We are looking for a Know Your Customer (KYC) Relationship Officer who will partner with Bankers and Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Customer Operations to ensure all client Know Your Customer records are compliant with regulatory standards, and will ensure high quality and timely completion of all client-level due diligence requirements at inception and renewal of client relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage client and partner expectations and understanding in a consultative way.
  • Manage client risk effectively by supporting the front office in meeting all KYC requirements .
  • Exhibit ownership of Know Your Customer/Anti-Money Laundering experience and client experience.
  • Ensure Know Your Customer/Anti-Money Laundering deliverables are met and hold internal partners accountable.
  • Demonstrate ongoing understanding of Know Your Customer/Anti-Money Laundering processes and work through delays and/or inefficiencies.
  • Manage operational risk effectively through diligent awareness of risks in our processes.
  • Escalate appropriate risk items and drive issues to closure.
  • Ability to manage conflicts and clearly articulate expectations to all stakeholders

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Flexible shift - availability to work US hours.
  • Work experience of at least 4 years.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to properly identify Anti-Money Laundering risks and apply the Know Your Customer/Anti-Money Laundering policy concepts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • University degree or equivalent work experience in financial services.
  • Working knowledge of risk factors that may impact specific products and industries.
  • Previous credit training or underwriting experience.
