Job Description & Qualifications
• Provide the onsite support for Electrical commodities within respective responsibilities, as required.
• Provide a single point of contact for all related PD issues in the assembly plants, the lead manufacturing engineering team, and the regional engineering team, within respective responsibilities.
• Assist the subject matter expert with hand-on, as well as, class room training to increase knowledge and maturity, as applicable.
• Provide expertise in root cause analysis / potential ICA and PCA for respective issues.
• Work with suppliers to successfully launch components or systems as required.
• Work with Ford Purchasing, Ford Design and Release engineer and local suppliers to source commodities.
• Work with local suppliers to develop parts on time and with quality to support new vehicle launch.
• Perform primary engineering duties during vehicle launches, onsite at assembly plant including root cause analysis as issues arise.
• Identify containment actions for issue during builds to contain remaining vehicle and institute permanent fixes, within respective responsibilities.
• Validate Bill of Material prior to each build phase to ensure correct parts are ordered and available for assembly.
• Ensure Ford Lessons Learned from previous builds is incorporated to avoid repeat issues.
• Maintain and update Ford systems to support the launch metrics.
• Support and work with AP LEA.
• Drive issue resolution from the local team back through the lead engineering teams including root cause analysis as issues arise.
