Serves as a lead engineer for developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network solutions. The engineer will drive Information Technology department strategies through development of complex technological solutions, with multiple dependencies. Provide systems expertise and technical support requiring in-depth understanding in one or more specialized disciplines or platforms.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Expert-level knowledge and experience with network architecture, enterprise solutions, and scalability.
In depth knowledge of core networking technologies/protocols: TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc), Load Balancing, SIP/VOIP, QOS, 802.11, VPN/IPSec, WAN Acceleration, SD-WAN, DHCP/DNS, Spanning Tree, Firewalls, Carrier-grade Circuits (MPLS, VPLS, Wave Fiber), RADIUS/802.1x, APIs.
Very strong written, oral communication and presentation skills.
Expertise with a breadth of network technologies, including routers, firewalls, wireless solutions, multicast solutions, WAN technologies, VoIP platforms, Contact Centers, etc.
Ability to work and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to maintain current working knowledge of related hardware, software, solutions, and processes.
Experience participating in large, complex projects.
Experience working with third parties (contractors/consultants).
Ability to function as the senior tier of support for network-related issues and escalate with vendors.
Understanding of cloud networking, management platforms, and cloud/internet exchanges.
Able to be a team player and to be customer-service focused.
Evaluate platforms and deliverables from manufacturers/vendors and provide solution recommendations.
Work Experience and/or Education:
BS/BA in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred knowledge in the following manufacturers/solutions: Cisco (Catalyst, ACI, ASR, ISR), Meraki, Arista, F5, Aruba, HPE, Audiocodes, Riverbed, Cradlepoint
Advanced knowledge of the following technologies: Nexus, VPC, VSS, DMVPN, IPSLA, MPLS, SIP, IOS, IOS-XE, Multicast/PIM, VRF, OER, CUBE, QOS, Voice Solutions,
Preferred Certifications: CCNP, CWNA, CWNP,
8 – 10 years technical experience in a large-scale enterprise network environment.
