The Operations Manager will demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work independently, and apply the correct level of urgency to achieve a mutually accepted solution, all while providing exemplary customer service. The Operations Manager should have a strong drive to learn enterprise project management principles and concepts and how to apply that knowledge towards the successful implementation and delivery of projects.This role reports to the Associate Client Partner. The Operational Excellence program manages the business transformation for Dentsu International. The role will work with a team of geographically distributed staff.
Essential Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Drive large & complex projects through the project management life cycle while keeping the project organized (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, closure).

  • Elicit and document technical and functional requirements and define project scope.

  • Develop and document project schedules, deliverables, and milestones through a detailed project plan.

  • Develop communication & change management plans to ensure successful project execution and benefits realization.

  • Proactively identify, track and resolve issues, risks and dependencies associated with projects; leading risk mitigation planning and communication to project sponsors/stakeholders; Escalate issues as defined in documented escalation procedures.

  • Coordinate the work of many project team members across multiple geographies, time zones, and departments to ensure projects remains on schedule.

  • Present and Communicate to stakeholders at all levels. Effectively manage stakeholder expectations at all levels.

  • Demonstrates passion for project management and continual learning while fostering a positive working environment within the PMO and project teams.

  • Uphold and promote dentsu’s core values and culture.

  • Participate in overall PMO operations and evolution.

  • Mentor more junior members of the PMO

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Requirements

  • Communicate clearly both orally and in writing & strong organization skills.

  • Relate in a positive professional manner with coworkers.

  • Make decisions and judgments based on standard procedures.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritizes, manage workload, and adapt to changing business conditions.

  • Ability to understand how projects align with the organization strategy to ground the project team and stakeholders in why the project is important.

  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize several projects and tasks at one time.

  • Demonstrate PC proficiency using common software programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project etc.

  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of Project Management Concepts as defined by the Project management institute (PMI) and/or agile concepts and methodologies (Scrum Alliance).

  • Demonstrate the ability to learn new skills techniques and responsibilities.

  • Ability to understand and communicate how project team(s) work aligns with dentsu’s business goals & objectives.

  • Must be reliable related to schedule and recurring tasks.

  • Possess conflict resolution skills with an ability to identify stakeholders, assess their needs and manage expectations

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Analysis, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Agency side experience in a digital strategy and/or execution role

  • 5 to 8 years of project management, business analysis, or related experience.

  • Preferred: PMI certification (PMP) or Scrum Alliance Certification (CSM).
