Job Description

To support the Operations Director and Business leader in all aspects of the financial management of the business unit and ensure the delivery of the financial KPI’s as defined by Business leader and Willis Re Senior Management
The Role
Geographic Scope of Role
+ Aligned to geographic scope of business unit including all overseas offices
Strategy and Growth
+ Support the Operations Director and BU business leader in the development and implementation of BU financial plans as set by Willis Re Senior Management
+ Support the BU Operations Executive in the implementation of global operations strategic plan by ensuring the BU has the appropriate financial support in managing sales, pipelines, revenue analysis
+ Ensure the completeness and integrity of financial system data in order to benefit from accurate data and revenue analysis
Financial Oversight
+ Responsible for monitoring the BU revenue and costs, ensuring they are appropriately budgeted, forecast and shared with the Operations Director and BU Leader and Willis Re Finance and are reported in line with Group’s revenue recognition policies
+ Review monthly management financials and assist in providing insight on significant variances
+ Assist in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
+ Act as the key link between Willis Re Finance and the BU
+ Ensure that all controllable costs and those allocated costs where the BU has some influence (eg overseas offices costs, etc.) are both acceptable, budgeted and correctly forecast
+ Be prepared to represent the BU in any financial forum
+ Ensure that Sales data (eg CRM, AIJ, Lost Business) is appropriately collated and shared with Business Leader and Willis Re Sales Team
+ Provision of other ad hoc financial reports as requested
Governance, Compliance and Control
+ Support Operations Director to ensure the smooth operation of the financial reporting to the BU Management Board
+ Ensure that the financial reporting and local P&L’s for all subsidiary companies are correctly prepared and meet regulatory timelines
+ Ensure that the financial reporting for the BU including all overseas subsidiaries follows local regulation, WTW Group guidelines and Willis Re Finance instruction
Operations, Service and IT
+ Preparation and distribution of monthly and weekly reports to leadership, including data to support revenue, cost, sales pipeline analysis and EBIT management
+ Create and develop standard revenue and expense analytics for regular distribution to the business
+ Engagement and collaborate with others across segments, LOBs, and regions
Manager of People
+ Responsible for managing the financial aspects of the BU recruitment process
+ Support the Operations Director in the leadership and management of BU operations resources
+ Responsible for managing, motivating and developing the skills, competencies and knowledge of any direct reports
Conduct Risk
+ To ensure that all Associates that he/she manages are adequately trained and competent to enable them to be successful in putting the interests of clients and the integrity of the market at the heart of the way they do business
Regulatory Requirements
+ Holds all regulatory licences, permissions and technical or other requirements applicable under UK legislation and FCA rules and guidelines
+ Good working knowledge of the regulatory environments of the key business unit jurisdictions, Associates are responsible for maintaining their professional qualification including ensuring that they complete sufficient and relevant continuous professional development
