We are currently seeking 2 Operations Engineers to join a new team within our National Continuous Improvement department. Reporting to the Project Director of Engineering, the Operations Engineer will focus on large-scale initiatives pertaining to our distribution operations. Namely, the Operations Engineer will contribute to the planning and operational preparedness of new Goodfood sites nationwide. The Operations Engineer will also optimize existing facilities and design best-in-class standard operating procedures.
Fulfilment and distribution:
Plan, design, and improve storage capacity across all facilities;
Optimize product slotting and fulfillment productivity;
Improve the packing process and experience. Analyze quality metrics and identify corrective actions.
Special Operations Project:
Analyze, validate and document all system functional requirements;
Translate functional requirements into conceptual system design solutions;
Assist in the preparation of business case and proposal;
Identify opportunities for improving business processes or systems, and participate in the implementation and post-implementation support;
Develop and maintain training package, standard operating procedures, and policies;
Contribute to the communication between stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial or Mechanical);
5 to 7 years of project or process engineering experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting;
Experience working in an agile environment with milestone deliverables;
Strong communicator able to synthesize information for different level stakeholders;
Experience with new site launches or multi-site continuous improvement and standardization (a strong asset);
Experience in the food, consumer goods or e-commerce distribution industry (a strong asset);
Fluency in French and English (an asset);
Driven team player able to take on a leadership role in cross-functional projects;
Available for occasional travel across Canada.
