Purpose of the job

This is a newly created position at Enablon, covering the EHS platform (legacy Enablon) and reporting into the Global Enablon Cloud Director. Responsible for supporting infrastructure operations and managing delivery for Cloud/IT production systems and services based on requirements and service agreements, leading and monitoring the infrastructure Service Management lifecycle, ensuring client satisfaction and management of security risk to services, building, enabling and coaching the Cloud Operations team. Participate in transformation transforming current cloud services into a public-cloud (Azure/AWS) based solution. Collaborate with involved teams (Customer success, engineering, product), set priorities and work on implementing a new operating model in support of this new direction. Inspire, coach and grow the team in support of this transformation.

Accountability

1. Cloud Strategy

Support the Global Cloud Director where necessary with initiating, creating, implementing, maintaining and optimizing cloud strategy of cloud services in line with the agreed performance indicators

Expected result: Optimal, efficient, safe and available cloud infrastructure for company clients

2. Automated Tooling

Ensure that automation is used by engineers and operators within the team

Expected result: Reproducible environments can be created on demand

3. Operations

Ensure that the Cloud Operations team performs regular changes, audits and security checks to ensure cloud service and system integrity and availability

Expected result: All cloud systems perform at optimal level and are safe, available and reliable

4 Optimization

Signal and report on possible optimization of cloud projects and services, and on the process of capturing client requirements, signal process opportunities, actively attend and participate in the cloud team on projects, services and services enhancements, and proactively contribute to the development of improvements/solutions

Expected result: Contribution to continuous optimization and streamlining of existing and new cloud services

5. Documentation

Ensure correct documentation on technical solutions and processes in a provision client environment and provide insights to the cloud, service delivery and project management teams regarding deployments by means of periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses

Expected result: Management information needed to steer the overall operations of cloud services and company strategies 

6. Knowledge Management

Knowledge development of deep architectural discussions to build confidence and ensure client success when building new and migrating existing applications, software and services on the cloud platform

Expected result: Knowledge of and insights into development of organisational processes, infrastructure and services

7. Security 

Recognise, signal, understands, respond and report well on security risks, security guarantees, avoids unsafe patterns in landing zones, and complies with industry standards and application security policies

Expected result: Security policies and best practices are well-understood and followed up, ensuring customer data are compliant with the expected security standards, information is threated according to the appropriate classification

8. Expertise

Keep thorough expertise of policy, procedure, systems, applications, means, methods and techniques up to date to advice on new developments and opportunities for Cloud Solutions

Expected result: Contribution to innovation and improvement of processes and solutions

9. Project and advice

As a systems subject matter expect, participate in and advise on Cloud Solutions related (SCRUM) projects, in line with the project plan and in accordance with the business

Expected result : High-quality advice on systems and services that are delivered to project and support teams/the clients

10. Coaching

Coordinate activities of colleagues within the Cloud team, provide functional coaching (mentorship) and report back to the Director Organization where necessary

Expected result: Team members are willing and capable to realise the team objectives, and are optimally supported in their personal development

11. Relationship Management

Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Expected result: Relevant sustainable and accessible networks and optimal (external) representation of the company

Required :
  • Higher vocational level / Academic level of thinking
  • 5+ years of relevant management experience
  • Engineering/technical experience is mandatory
