CrossBoundary is recruiting a full-time People Operations Manager to support the firm’s growing People team. As a core member of the People team, you will play a key role in many of the functions related to the employee experience, including recruitment, total rewards, onboarding, employee relations, training & development, health, safety, & security, analytics, and performance management. We are seeking candidates with 5+ years of experience working within people and/or human resources.

CrossBoundary is not a development firm and is not seeking typical development skills. As the People Operations Manager, you will report to the Head of People and be responsible for building and scaling global human resource systems that run seamlessly and ultimately meet the needs of our people. The ideal candidate must have impeccable communication skills, high EQ,  strong organization, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the global recruitment process, including new hiring manager training, candidate tracking, and summer associate recruitment
  • Centralize our hiring process and build additional tools for managers
  • Onboard and offboard all employees
  • Build out policies around immigration and visas
  • Oversee HR’s employment files
  • Update and review all global policies and contracts annually
  • Support in the design and implementation of suitable employee development and training programs to meet business needs
  • Ensure employment and regulatory compliance across all offices
  • Handle benefits administration 
  • Administer biannual performance reviews
  • Ensure employee health, safety, and wellness
  • Provide general support to all staff regarding CrossBoundary policies and benefits
  • Administer all systems (e.g., Zoom, Dropbox, Evernote, BambooHR, 10,000ft, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot systems questions as the first point of contact
  • Promote CrossBoundary’s culture of inclusivity
  • Actively develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders such as the Partners, Heads of Offices, CFO, General Counsel, and all other heads of teams
  • Perform other duties and work on other special projects or initiatives as necessary at the direction of the Head of People

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in human resources at a top-tier international corporation or consulting firm
  • Proven ability to recruit, grow, and retain high performing teams in multiple jurisdictions
  • Demonstrated leadership skills; preferably in a fast-moving and complex environment
  • Experience working in emerging markets will be regarded favorably
  • Experience working in the financial services and energy sectors will be regarded favorably
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degrees

Required skills and qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in human resources
  • Ability to design and implement human resource solutions from the ground up
  • Exceptional interpersonal and conflict management skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity; ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills across diverse audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree

Location

Nairobi, Kenya preferred with travel required
