About the Role

This position will sit in within our Member Enablement team; it is a business facing technology team accountable for delivery and ongoing support of the IT applications consumed by the fund’s Operations business unit.

In line with UniSuper’s technology transformation, Member Enablement will introduce a new operating model and modern delivery practices to better serve Operations.   The Technology Operations Manager will lead execution of an improvement program to embed the new ways of working and operating model.

Other key responsibilities include;

  • Working with the Member Enablement leadership team to design and implement a team operating model for Member Enablement covering general operations, financial, people and risk management.
  • Working with technology enablement teams to drive adoption of new ways of working including DevOps, tooling and automation to reduce cycle times, minimise rework and improve quality.
  • With the Member Enablement leadership team design and embed practices that enable effective demand management and prioritisation.
  • Develop a view of current and future people capability requirements aligned with UniSuper’s capability planning principles.  
  • Establish a program that enables Member Enablement team members to spend time regularly with member-facing teams to better understand the needs of members and Member Enablement stakeholders.
  • Establish a framework for the development and maintenance of technology roadmaps for each value stream within Operations with consideration for UniSuper’s strategic objectives, industry trends and opportunities.


About You

You will be an experienced leader within Technology with demonstrated experience in a business operations leadership role and prior experience managing and delivering technology projects.

Prior experience stablishing an operating model and metrics that measure team performance, as well as exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide array of stakeholders is critical to the success of this position.

Other key criteria include;

  • Experience in a business operations role in a technology setting.
  • Experience with Agile practices and delivery models.
  • Experience managing and implementing change programs.
  • The ability to drive outcomes & take ownership for end to end delivery and deliver on commitments.
  • A problem solving mind, you love to analyse data and proactively identify problems and opportunities, anticipating the needs of the business.
