About the role:
The role will lead a technical team with a focus on Operations management and outstanding customer service.
  • Effective resource planning and order allocation, an ability to innovate and to drive continual service improvement, reporting against metrics and knowledge management.
  • Manages the technical teams to resolve customer specific faults to successful restoration, managing escalations including problem, incident and change management and execution of capacity planning and management.
  • Resource planning, recruitment, performance management, coaching and mentoring, salary reviews and career planning, culture development
  • Reporting against KPIs and balanced scorecard, technical escalations and fast-track requests, involvement in change management and non-standard approval boards; identification and tracking of key events

About you
You are an experienced leader who has led multiple teams in the past. You are passionate about IT and providing outstanding service to your clients.
You will need this skill set and background to be successful:
  • At least 8+ years’ experience in the Technology, Hosting or Cloud industry (Ideally in a service provider)
  • At least 5 years’ experience in people management
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science or similar
  • Exposure to, or certified in ITIL and\or project management
  • Experience collaborating closely with customers
  • You strive for continual Process Improvement and developing a team to operate at its best
  • Project Management, Change Management, and Risk management
  • You love a challenge and more so love challenging the status quo
  • Experience managing complex delivery environments
  • Able to work and manage people with perseverance and professionalism in high-pressure time focused situations
