How will I help?

The “Tax Operations Team” provides tax technical and operational support to the 3 sites of TAS (Sydney, Adelaide and Perth). The Tax Operations Team is responsible for the tax management, tax controls testing, fund and client tax compliance and reporting for the BT and Asgard superannuation and unit trust entities.   Key challenges include ability to work and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, and ability to work under pressure to deliver year end deliverables to customers. The focus of this role is split approximately 70% on superannuation related tax and 30% investment related tax.  You will provide tax technical guidance to TAS team members in relation to tax queries, policies and procedures in consultation with Group Tax as required

What do I need?

  • A university degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  • A CA, CPA, CTA or Masters of Tax.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in financial services in tax technical, tax operational or equivalent roles.
  • Experience with superannuation member taxation and ATO Reporting for APRA-regulated superannuation funds would be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience managing and implementing tax-related projects would be looked upon favourably.
  • Experience delivering tax training to a variety of stakeholders would be looked upon favourably.
  • High customer-service orientation.
  • Strong team work.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and act independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to manage deliverables under pressure and tight timeframes.
