About the role
Being based out of our Melbourne office the People & Culture (P&C) Manager will be heading up P&C initiatives for our businesses in Melbourne, Perth and a National office (includes shared service functions).
Reporting to the Executive General Manager – People & Culture, the role is responsible for implementing and driving operational and transformational P&C strategies and programs.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
  • Provide trusted P&C advice and support to senior executives and business leaders.
  • Execute elements of P&C calendar activities including: Mid-Year Reviews, Annual Performance Review, Salary Review Process, Performance Management cycle, Talent Management, Succession Planning and Induction.
  • Key advocate in ensuring consistent application of HR policies, procedures, tools and frameworks across client group.
  • Deal with all client group employee case management such as WorkCover, salary continuance claims, escalating performance management and grievances.
  • Work collaboratively with offshore HR Support team to ensure smooth transactional offshore processes.
  • Taking a lead on certain P&C initiatives and contribute to creation of P&C Business Plan, action plans and programs
  • Embrace change and be a change agent.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with initiative, follow through, attention to detail and ability to build relations as a trusted advisor to the business. Some of the key skills and experience we need are:
  • Relevant experience in P&C management and operational role (8+ years).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian legislation & compliance framework (is a must)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations on business matters
  • Well-developed analytical and organisational skills
  • Ability to be able to quickly identify and solve problems through analysis and planning
