About the Role

We are embarking on an exciting journey that will transform the way in which the People & Culture team operates. To assist with making this happen, we are on the hunt for a driven, energetic and experienced, People & Culture (P&C) Manager to join our P&C team. The role will partner with a number of key national practice teams within our firm, which include: Class Actions, Claims Funding, Social Justice and Employment & Industrial.

The role will require you to partner with senior leaders within each practice team and contribute to the strategic direction of the practice and broader firm. Due to the nature of the role, interstate travel will be required.

Key Responsibilities

Within this role, you will own the P&C operations space for these practice teams. Additional responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Work collaboratively as part of the P&C leadership team, contributing to the overall direction of our national P&C strategy and supporting national P&C initiatives and programs
  • In conjunction with the National Talent Manger, establish clear recruitment/talent strategies, which are designed to meet the needs for each nationally practice team
  • Oversee and guide change management initiatives for each practice team including team wide restructures, improvement programs, etc.
  • In conjunction with the practice team’s leaders, manage the performance and development of employees
  • In conjunction with Remuneration & Benefits Manager, manage the annual remuneration process for practice teams
  • Support the practices’ leadership team, in the annual business planning process including providing guidance on strategic people outcomes, support team communication on finalised business plan and alignment of team and individual goals to business plan outcomes
  • Oversee and coordinate the quality management of all processing, reporting and coordination of people related matters to the practices’ leadership team

Key Selection Criteria

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR or related degree
  • Solid experience working within a People & Culture team, preferably within a professional services environment
  • Experience in managing and overseeing a national team
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and influence senior stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, research and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation to achieve and deliver results
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage varied deadlines and competing demands
  • A high level of resilience, personal integrity and commitment to deliver
