Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and planning of large hospitals
  • Work with clients to identify objectives and formulate options
  • Ability to effectively lead Clinical User Group meetings and participate in client presentations
  • Proven ability to collaborate with Architects, Interior Designers, and Project Managers from Concept Design through Construction

Skills and Qualifications (required unless otherwise noted):

  • Experience of China and US hospital projects and experience coordinating and facilitating client user group meetings and developing all related deliverables
  • Understanding of programmatically rich healthcare projects from concept design and programming through construction administration
  • Experience presenting to hospital leadership and leading them through the decision-making process
  • Familiarity with issues surrounding innovative healthcare strategic planning, master planning, programming and design
  • Familiarity with healthcare design literature and evidence-based design research
  • Ability to lead and manage in-house team of medical planners and coordinate external consultants
  • Experience marketing Healthcare projects – developing proposals, presenting to potential clients
  • Ability and interest to manage, design, document and execute small projects independently
  • Exceptional listening, written, verbal and graphic communication skills required
  • Proficient in Revit with 3D modeling skills preferred
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketchup, Rhino or 3DS Max desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Architectural License required; LEED Accreditation a plus
  • B Arch Degree (or equivalent) required; M Arch degree preferred
  • 12+ years medical planning experience on large, complex hospital facilities
