Job Description

As Purchase & Planning Manager, your mission is to propose and implement the purchasing and planning strategy, and ensure that formal processes are homogeneously and diligently implemented across Thailand, China, and India. You will be accounting for the performance of the Procurement and Planning teams with the following responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning

  • Deliver the total Demand plan through each standard and harmonize procedures.
  • Analyze and communicate relevant information to Senior Management, highlight gaps, detail impacts of proposed actions, ensure actions and demand plans are realistic and achievable
  • Coordinate and communicate action plans to Procurement and Supply planning chain
  • Ensure the compliance with planning policies and that appropriate documentation exists for all Supply Chain Planning transactions, as well as
  • Be in charge for the scheduling function to assure high on-time delivery performance.
  • Provide accurate volumes (short and long term forecast) to be used in budgeting and planning of Production and Inventories.
  • Lead optimization of Microsoft Dynamics AX for the entire planning and procurement operations, insuring data consistency and accuracy.
  • Work with operations to develop models for plant capacity, materials requirement, labor forecasting in support of Sales and Operations Planning Cycle.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor all inventories in line with company goals and policies within the group.
  • Develop and execute inventory cycle count process to assure high inventory accuracies.
  • Lead periodic physical inventory process.

Purchase & Sourcing

  • Lead, organize and coach sourcing and procurement professionals across the organization to align the team with the group objectives.
  • Source, maintain and grow a database of qualified suppliers to fuel the needs of the business and gradually develop partner like relationships with key strategic suppliers.
  • Streamline internal procurement processes to shorten the lead time from PO to delivery

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Open to expatriate candidates only
  • Bachelor Degree / Master Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Business preferred.
  • 10-15 years of progressive managerial experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Excellent command in English, both written and spoken.
  • Use of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, intranet, internet, ERP (as applicable) at the level needed.
