Job Description

Role Summary:Project Management/Planning/Coordinating activities typically in the context of a production or services project to fulfill a customer order or need according to financial/commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities:• Develop and maintain a high safety and quality conscious working environment, and ensure compliance with all company and legislative Health & Safety and Environmental requirements
• Ensure that the Power Plant operates to its optimum potential within given constraints
• Ensure proper financial control and develop cost consciousness in the team
• Implement the relevant generic Contractor PS QMS (Power Service Quality Management System) and adapt PS QMS guidance documents to Site-specific work instructions which reflect the requirements of the Contract
• Ensure that all applicable procedures are followed. Consider and actively develop improvement potentials for all processes
• Recruit, train, develop and guide staff, and periodically assess their ability and potential
• Establish and maintain good relations with the Owner and other parties, including representatives of the local community where applicable
• Ensure that the Contractor’s O&M organisation are regularly updated on Power Plant activities and kept informed of any particular problems
• Support GE as a whole in implementing improvements or making changes
Qualifications/Requirements:• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience, preferably with a post graduate business administration qualification
• Approximately 10 Years’ experience in operation and/or maintenance of Combined Cycle Power Plant or equivalent facilities with at least 3 Years’ experience in the Management Team
• Strong technical knowledge of GT26 machines
• Knowledge of engineering practices, functions and processes involved in the operation and maintenance of a combined cycle gas turbine power station
• Knowledge of typical legislation associated with Power Station operation and maintenance
• Understanding of contracts
