The Aruba SDWAN Deals Desk/Pricing Team is the frontline engagement between the Field teams (Sales & Management) and the Sales Operations organization. This lead position will act as a point of escalation for the APJ pricing team and Field Sales Management.

This role will heavily focus on pricing analysis on high-touch, strategic deals, along with very high level of interaction with the Sales and Pricing organisations. The analyst will need to become familiar and fluent in all internal sales tools, processes and practices in order to provide exemplary sales support and pricing related guidance. This position will also require that the analyst engages heavily with the extended pricing team, offering guidance and working to ensure the individual team member develop and progress their pricing analytics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Review and analyze pricing requests within APJ for the SDWAN business unit, provide guidance and negotiate with the sales team/pricing team to reach final pricing agreement,
  • Mentor, guide and develop junior members of the Deals Desk/Pricing Team,
  • Collaborate with extended teams to accurately assess and price cross-portfolio deals,
  • Review, maintain and own HPE Aruba Pricing delegations for other business units, and govern usage of delegation authorized by other BU’s to HPE Aruba,
  • Engage with Field Sales Management and the APJ Sales VP in order to review and negotiate deals, providing high level summary and pertinent decision making information,
  • Identify potential issues and problems with tools or process and escalate them for resolution to prevent interruption to the work of the sales team,
  • Liaises with the Aruba Process Engineer to develop the overall systems management framework, including policies, documentation, training and audit plans, to ensure efficiency and performance,
  • This role requires that the successful candidate has a strong sense of urgency and accountability, will quickly become an SME on the various pricing methodologies and immerse themselves in HPE Aruba’s GTM, quarterly forecasting, eCPQ best practices and ensures the smooth operations of the HPE Aruba Pricing Team.

Experience and Skills:

  • 3-4 years of experience directly in a pricing environment is essential, preferably in a large competitive MNC.
  • A strong numerical mindset is key, with an ability to quickly identify risk factors.
  • Familiarity with SaaS and/or SW Subscription pricing models desirable.
  • A track record of leadership, escalation resolution and a keen sense of business awareness,
  • Skilled at use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and Salesforce applications.
  • The ideal candidate will be analytically minded; a decisive problem solver; focused, organized & driven; self-starter; have strong communication skills; passion & pride in their work; flexibility to adjust to requirements and ability operate in a dynamic and fast changing environment
  • 2 positions available (1 junior position with 1-2 years experience & 1 mid level position 3-4 years of experience)
